“The Berclair Mansion is a mansion where no mansion should be. A mansion filled with fine art and artifacts out of place and out of time.”
That is how “Texas Highways” described my next venue, a private wedding at the Berclair Mansion. I love an enigma and one of my favorite finds was FDR’s mansion in Campobello New Brunswick, Canada. I am looking forward in traveling what will be over 2 hours from my house to this gig a few miles northeast of Beeville Texas in tiny Berclair, Texas. Beeville some might remember as the town where President G.W. Bush has a ranch and the news networks mistakenly called it “BeeSville,” it is Beeville, no ‘s.’ As a musician I love to perform in interesting venues. As a matter of fact I will take a gig just because I find it challenging, interesting, historical, or unique.
