I have always wanted a complete list all the symphonies in the state of Texas. That is what I believe I have created below. Not all these symphonies are paying, full-time, or professional, but it is part of a long time quest to list all of the performing orchestras in Texas. I have witnessed in my lifetime the orchestras grow from 4 orchestras to the list below. I remember some of these orchestras below that are now part-time orchestras when they were small groups like Symphony Viva, the newest Orchestra in the San Antonio Area. Forth coming will be a list of trumpet sections and players, many players play in several orchestras within an area.
