I was curious about what tempo one would play UT’s “The Eyes of Texas” at a funeral. If you are a UT Grad you will work this song into your Wedding, Anniversary Celebrations, and yes, your funeral. After listening to it played at famous UT Grad’s funerals, the consensus is:
Opening = mm 100
Tune = mm 110
115 is too fast – 112 is pushing it, this is a funeral, the crowd should be able to sing along.
