The Lone Star Philharmonic is a new professional orchestra based in San Antonio, Texas and our goal is to provide orchestral performances of the highest quality throughout Texas by creating the first mobile and statewide orchestra ever. By doing so, we are creating a vast network for musicians to thrive and collaborate in while promoting micro-economic resources in all the communities we will serve.
Our first concert in San Antonio, Texas on Sunday, June 23rd 2019 and it was a complete success with over 400 audience members in attendance that evening. The philharmonic performed Dvorak’s Symphony No. 8 and Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2 and both were played wonderfully and well received! Many people have reached out to us asking when the next concert is and we have decided to do an encore performance of the Dvorak and Rachmaninoff in San Antonio during August.
We raised enough money through our Kickstart campaign to record this performance.
